Privacy Policy

Our approach

VoiceGem is built privacy-first. The core product — transcribing your voice into text — runs entirely on your Mac using local AI models. Your audio and transcripts are processed on-device and are never sent to us.

What we collect

When you buy a license or contact support, we process a limited amount of information:

• Purchase details — your email and order information, handled by our payment processor.
• License activation — a device identifier so your license works on the right number of Macs.
• Support messages — anything you choose to send us when you reach out.

What we never collect

• Your recorded audio.
• Your transcribed text.
• The contents of the apps and windows you dictate into.

Optional cloud AI

If you opt in to a cloud transcription or enhancement provider, the text or audio you choose to send goes directly to that provider using your own API key, under their privacy terms. This is off by default.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of the limited account data we hold at any time by emailing hello@voicegem.app.
